The UK & Ireland Tech Tour 2010 is taking place on April 27-29, 2010 and will be the 43rd event in a series of successful European technology events.

As a member of the selection committee Ciklum is entitled to refer companies for consideration (see below).

Organizers

The event is organized by the European Tech Tour Association, an independent non-profit organization based in Geneva committed to the development of emerging technology companies in Europe.

Objective

The objective of the Tour is to identify and present the top 30 early to growth stage companies in the UK and Ireland and to introduce them to an invited delegation of 60+ international investors, hi-tech industry leaders and service professionals.

Tour overview

The Tour is a unique opportunity for delegates to gain first-hand knowledge of the local high-tech hubs and to meet a selection of the most exciting technology companies. The Tour will have a Gala Dinner Event to which the ‘who's who' of the UK & Irish tech scene will be invited. Then, over the next two days, delegates literally ‘tour' the country, meeting key players and world-class businesses in London and Dublin.

Who can apply

The organizers are inviting UK & Irish technology companies across all stages of development and a wide spectrum of technology sectors to apply for one of the 30 presentation spots on the tour. The selection committee is is made up of leading venture capital and industry professionals.

The DEADLINE for applications is February 15, 2010.

Application process

The application process itself is quite straightforward and simply requires you to submit a completed company profile (template provided), plus your latest business plan or executive summary and a general company presentation, all of which can be uploaded directly onto the UK & Ireland Tech Tour website. Please follow the steps below to complete your application:

• Go to http://www.techtour.com/ukie2010/how_to_register.php
• Follow the link to register for the UK & Ireland Tech Tour 2010
• Follow instructions to fill out your registration
• Prepare and upload the relevant documents (company profile, presentation, executive summary or full business plan)
• Your company's application and associated documents will then be in the ETT database and available for immediate review and assessment by the Selection Committee
• If you wish to amend or update any of the documents you have submitted, log in again and upload new versions at: http://www.techtour.com/ukie2010/register/index.php, observing the naming/dating convention specified. This will ensure that the reviewers are looking at the relevant version of presented documents.

Companies selected to present at the UK & Ireland Tech Tour will be notified by early April the latest, but you might receive a brief due diligence call from a member of the selection committee before then.
